Golf Fitness Program - How a Proper Golf Fitness Program Can Help Injury-Proof Your Body

Excuse me Mr. Woods, we're going to need a urine sample to make sure you're not pumping roids, you and every other golfer on tour. Are you kidding me? Well, it doesn't surprise me with the way some of the guys look on tour these days. There's a big reason for it, and I'm about to tell you why.

The Olden Days

Back in the old days, no one cared a lick about golf fitness, but then people started noticing a very consistent trend. Golfers, when they got to the age of, oh say, 35 or 40, unless they were incredibly elite, could no longer compete with the young bucks. Why? Because they spent all their time on the course and well, no time thinking about protecting their bodies from injury.

By the time they were 'middle aged,' they had chronic back pain, knee pain, could barely grip a club, and were getting smoked by any up and comer anywhere. Now, let us fast forward to the present. Some of the best players on tour are in their mid 40s! There are even guys from the senior tour that have no problem competing with the young guns.

The Reborn Fitness Kings

Why? They're in the fitness trailers every day. They're not suffering from career ending injuries in their prime because they have properly protected their bodies using a simple golf training program anyone can endure.

It's important to understand here that not only does a golf fitness program enhance their games, but these golfers have actively been able to injury proof their bodies by building up the supporting muscles and tendons that are subjected to the most stress in the golf swing.

It's Not the NFL

I'll be the first to tell you, golf fitness isn't that hard. It's not football here folks. For the average golfer, all you need to do is work out 30 minutes a day a few days a week, and you'll be leaps and bounds above the competition. You'll also feel A LOT less pain. Take it from someone who has seen the results for years.

PGA Fitness Resources

Now, although I know a lot about it, I'm not a fitness coach myself, but I do have a close association with one. Her name is Susan Hill and she is a long time PGA fitness trainer. She owns two of the best resources on the web.

If this article has been informative to you, and perhaps woken you up to something that can improve your game, and improve your longevity, well then, I suggest you take a look. Thanks for reading and I hope golf fitness benefits your life as much as it has mine.
